The announcement of the nominees in the AIMS Adjudication & Awards Scheme for 2008/2009 takes place this Sunday, 24th May, at 1pm in St. Michael’s Theatre, New Ross, Co. Wexford.
'Sweet Charity' was one of 44 shows adjudicated in the Gilbert Section alone. (A further 41 shows were adjudicated in the Sullivan Section.)   Remember, we put on the best show that we could, and sent the audiences home happy, that's what's important!  If anyone interested, we're planning to meet in the Gregory Tavern at approx 6pm Sunday eve.  Any excuse for a social drink...or two!
The nomination announcement will coincide with the AIMS Choral Festival which runs from Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th May, in New Ross, which this year celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

Friday is Junior Competition Day and gets under way from 9.30pm, with schools throughout the country taking part. On Saturday night 23rd May, a Gala Concert will take place in St. Michael’s Theatre at 8pm featuring Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society with their show entitled "That’s Entertainment". Bookings at St. Michael’s Theatre 051-421255. Sunday will feature adult choirs and groups and two competitions confirmed to members of AIMS taking place.

It is anticipated that a large crowd will travel down to hear the Nominations, therefore you are advised to come early to avoid disappointment.

All the details will be available on the AIMS Website ( on Sunday evening.
